From Cooked Meat to Raw Vegan

I used to be a vegetarian about 5 years ago, but I went back to a omnivorous diet. I'm now about 80 pounds heavier than I was when I was a vegetarian, my blood pressure is through the roof and my energy is in the basement. So, I'm now going to correct this situation w/ the diet that I should have gotten to.
This diet transformation is not going to happen overnight. I first have to re-educate myself on vegetarian living and then move to raw foods. After I get to raw foods, I will then move to a completely raw vegan diet.
The hardest part of this whole transformation will be convincing my partner that this is the correct way to go. As of this writing, he does not like many vegetarian foods other than broccoli, dairy and very few fruits. However, I'm sure that he'll come around.
