L'equip Model 221 pulp ejector juicer vs The Omega 4000 Juicer
a test done by discountjuicers.com

This article discusses juicing carrots, romaine lettuce, and cucumber distinguishing the advantages and disadvantages between the L'equip Model 221 pulp ejector juicer and the Omega 4000 Juicer.

Both of these attractive machines are centrifugal ejection and are known for their continuous juicing and easy cleanup.  They both have a plastic lid, stainless steel bowl and cutter.

The L’equip model has a much larger feed chute with a crescent shape measuring 3"x1.5" while the Omega model has a rectangular feed chute measuring 1.75" x 1.25".

The Omega 4000 juicer has a15 year warranty and the L’equip Model 221 juicer has a 12-year warranty.

I put both machines side by side to do the comparison.  The first vegetable I juiced was romaine lettuce, a leafy green.  I used five ounces of romaine lettuce in each machine.  Each leaf of the lettuce was broken off its head and measured carefully.

The juice tasted excellent.  However, I have seen other juicers that have juiced leafy greens better.  (such as the omega 8001 and green star juicer)

The second vegetable I juiced was carrot.  I used exactly 16 ounces of carrots in each machine.  The carrots were placed on a scale and measured out.

The carrot juice tasted amazing from both machines.  The carrot juice from the Omega the eye I could see a thin pulp matter that was invisible to the tongue and had an amazing sugar taste.

Finally, I juiced cucumber.  I used exactly 7 ounces of cucumber for each machine.  The cucumber was cut into four sections the long way and fed to each machine.

Both juices tasted great.

The cleanups for both of the juicers were similar and very easy.  The toughest part to clean on both machines was the stainless steel screen.  I placed a plastic bag in both ejection baskets.  All I had to do to clean the basket was remove the plastic bag with the accumulated pulp and discard the pulp into compost.

The L’equip model had an annoying vibrate that I could not stand.   Maybe we had a defective machine.  Nutrient quality is very important to me.  The L’equip model has a slower rpm, which is supposed to yield a higher nutrient quality due to less oxidation.

The above results were our results using our methods.  Your results may vary.   There are many factors when juicing that may affect yield. Some factors include: the quality, water content and age of the produce.  The statements in the above article reflect my opinions that are based on my experience with juicers and juicing.
