Description | An intelligent, creative, quirky individual - I have a passion for things both technical and artistic; I can be equally amused coding or painting, studying physics or creating a photograph. Although the latter is most likely to have my attention currently. My music tastes run from new-age to industrial, and my reading is mostly science fiction and self-discovery. I have a passion for the off-beat. I became vegetarian 19 years ago for compassionate reasons, and would like to find someone who shares that ideal. Having common interests is a wonderful thing, but more important to me is having a common outlook. |
Hobbies | Photography: Robert Frank, André Kertész, Teru Kuwayama
Music: Paul Oakenfold, R. L. Burnside, Mr. Bungle
Movies: Memento, Pi, The Fifth Element, The Adventures of Baron Munchhausen
Reading: Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Richard Feynman

Quote | "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves: Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And, as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
- Nelson Mandela (Inauguration Speech, 1994) |
Ideal Mate | Are you happy? Do you look upon the universe as your ally as you make your way through life? Do you try to face each new challenge with love and compassion, and to find something of value in whatever comes your way? I would like to walk with you hand-in-hand as we explore the secret places off of the beaten path. I'm not scared of a confident, independent, intelligent woman. In fact, if you throw in caring, open, dynamic, and fun, you have my attention!
